Pietermaritzburg - Two men accused of impersonating police officers were arrested in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Monday.

The men, aged 36 and 40, were arrested on Sunday, Captain Thulani Zwane said.

They went to a house in Boom Street allegedly dressed as policemen and questioned two friends about a person they were looking for. They allegedly demanded money from the friends.

One of the friends contacted the police and the two were arrested. Police recovered R300 they had taken from the friends and a police badge. - Sapa
