The niece of a woman who was brutally killed, struggled to maintain her composure as she testified the alleged attackers.

A 20-year-old Limpopo woman accused of impersonating a nurse and theft appeared in the Mankweng Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

Constable Moses Molepo said she was granted R500 bail and would be back in court on July 19.

Dumesani Nukery was arrested last Wednesday for allegedly stealing a patient's cellphone at the Mankweng Hospital.

She was released on a warning when she appeared in court on Thursday.

On investigation, police were told that she was not a nurse at the hospital.

She was re-arrested on Tuesday for impersonating a nurse, Molepo said.

He said hospital patients had complained that their belongings were being stolen. - Sapa
