Cape Town - On Wednesday a pastor accused of raping a 17-year-old boy at his church will appear in court.
The 29-year-old holy man was arrested on Tuesday morning after police had been tracking him for over five days.
His bust comes after he was accused of sexually assaulting the teen.
The teen went to the pastor for prayer to rid him of chronic headaches that started after he was struck by lightning.
But instead he claims to have been sexually assaulted on three separate occasions.
Three weeks ago, the Khayelitsha teen spent the night at the pastor’s church when he was woken up the following day and summoned to his room.
The boy says the pastor made him suck his breasts before he undressed them both.
He then sat on the teen’s lap and thrust up and down on his penis while he sat in shock.
The traumatised youngster says he lives in fear of the pastor and his church elders.
“I’m always scared now, especially after I told the police about what he did to me,” the teenager says.
“At the time, I honestly thought he was helping me remove whatever demons were causing the headaches.
“Now I think he might send his church people to come and kill me so that this won’t get to court and I don’t want to die.
“I feel ashamed, it’s like everyone knows about what happened and are always looking at me.”
And on Tuesday evening the boy was moved to a place of safety after the pastor allegedly made several threatening phone calls to him.
Police spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Andrè Traut says:
“He will appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrates’ Court [Wednesday].”
