A 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death in Bishop Lavis, Cape Town on Sunday morning, Western Cape police said.

Bradley Benteng from Vygieway was leaving his girlfriend's house in Reenbergway around 1.30am when three young men accosted him, Captain Marie Louw said in a statement.

They asked him for money, started to fight with him and allegedly stabbed him in his chest with a knife. Benteng died on the scene.

Three men, two brothers aged 17 and 25, and a 20-year-old from Bishop Lavis were arrested. They were expected to appear in Bishop Lavis Magistrate's Court on Monday. - Sapa
