Durban - A trial date for five people accused of running a brothel where children as young as 12 were kept was set in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Friday.
The trial will start on October 18.
A pre-trial conference for the State and the defence counsel will be heard on September 7.
Sandile Patrick Zweni, Nonduzo Dlamini, Bhabha Dubazini, Dr Genchen Ragnath and his wife Ravina face charges of dealing in cocaine, human trafficking, keeping a brothel, and living off the earnings of prostitution.
Zweni, Dlamini and Dubazini were arrested with a fourth person when 24 girls, eight of them minors, were rescued from a building in Durban's Point area in February.
Zweni's bail application was denied in April. The others abandoned their bail applications. Charges against the fourth individual were withdrawn.
The Ragnaths were arrested some time after the initial bust and were granted bail of R30,000 each.
