Two brothers were arrested after they allegedly hacked a man to death in KwaNobuhle, near Uitenhage on Tuesday morning, Eastern Cape police said.
Lt-Col Priscilla Naidu said the 45-year-old man was chased out of his ex-girlfriend's house on Monday night.
He returned to the house just after midnight with a panga and smashed several windows before breaking down the door.
The woman's brothers then caught the man and attacked him with his own panga - as well as a spade and an axe. He died at the scene.
The brothers were expected to appear in the KwaNobuhle Magistrate's Court on Wednesday. - Sapa
