Durban - Six months after a divorced Durban doctor allegedly kidnapped her two daughters from school, they are still missing, their father said on Thursday night.
Police issued a warrant and photograph of Dr Thuthukile Nokuphila Immaculate Goba, 37, in July, but there has still not been any trace of her or the girls, aged 6 and 7.
This was the second time that Goba had allegedly taken her daughters. She was imprisoned last year for being in contempt of court for denying her ex-husband access to their girls.
The father had been granted temporary sole custody of his daughters by the High Court.
“It is taking too long. If the authorities had acted quicker, we might have had a speedy breakthrough. It is mind-blowing that my daughters have not been to school since February,” he said.
The investigation was at an advanced stage and he was optimistic about the outcome. – Daily News
