Durban - A constable has been arrested for allegedly stealing meat and liquor from a trading store, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Monday.

He was arrested on Saturday at his home in Amandawe, Captain Thulani Zwane said.

The shop was burgled on Friday night.

The constable led police to a house in Umzinto where more stolen goods were found.

He was expected to appear in the Scottburgh Magistrate's Court on Monday afternoon.
