Cop in court for stealing booze, meat

Durban - A police constable accused of stealing meat and liquor from a trading store appeared in the Scottburgh Magistrate's Court on Monday, KwaZulu-Natal police said.

The man would appear in court again on January 20, Captain Thulani Zwane said.

The constable was arrested on Saturday at his home in Amandawe.

The shop was burgled on Friday night. The constable led police to a house in Umzinto where more stolen goods were found.
