Cop killers convictedComment on this story
Harrismith - Two men were found guilty of killing a student constable by the High Court in Harrismith on Wednesday, Free State police said.
Teko Mphuthi, 26, and Malefetsane Nhlapo, 36, both Lesotho nationals, were found guilty of murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances, said Sergeant Mmako Mophiring.
He said the men stoned Constable Pule Rasebakoa to death while he was out jogging.
“They then hid his body with a pile of rocks at the foot of the Drakensburg Mountains.”
Mophiring said the men killed Rasebakoa as they believed he would arrest them for being in possession of eight stolen sheep.
They would be sentenced on Thursday. - Sapa
