Eastern Cape - An off-duty police officer was shot and killed outside a tavern in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape police said on Sunday.
“He was inside the tavern early Saturday morning when he received a call and he stepped outside to take it. He was then shot four times in his neck and head,” spokesman Captain Andre Beetge said.
The man was identified as Constable Lindile Gacexa, stationed at the New Brighton SAPS.
