Hartebeeskop - Three men were arrested for the possession of dagga with an estimated street value of R1.2 million in Hartebeeskop on Monday, Mpumalanga police said.

The men, believed to be Tanzanians, are aged between 22 and 46, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said.

Bags of compressed dagga were found in the back of a black double cab bakkie during a stop and stop and search operation. The men were arrested and the bakkie was seized.

They are expected to appear in the Eerstehoek Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
