North West - Police were continuing the search for a man who raped a seven-year-old girl in Phunong section in Ganyesa Village, North West police said on Tuesday.
The child was raped by an unknown man while playing alone at a nearby park on Saturday, Captain Amanda Funani said.
The girl's grandmother noticed that she was struggling to walk. When the child was questioned she told her grandmother about the rape.
The child was taken to a local hospital, where a doctor confirmed that she had been raped.
A case was opened on Sunday afternoon, but no one had been arrested by Tuesday morning. - Sapa
