Potchefstroom - “Madibogo police have arrested three men suspected of robbing a business,” North West police said on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson Major Pelonomi Makau said the men are aged between 18 and 21-years-old. He said they robbed a Bangladeshi national, but when police arrived on the scene the suspects had already fled.
“An extensive search was conducted in the area that led to the arrest of the villains in a nearby river,” said Makau.
The trio was found in possession of a 9mm pistol, cigarettes, memory cards and an undisclosed amount of cash.
They will appear in the Atamelang Magistrate’s Court on January 22 on charges of business robbery and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
