Durban - A couple are fighting for their lives in hospital after being shot in their car outside a block of flats in Hime Street, Wentworth, south of Durban, over the weekend.
Police spokeswoman Captain Nqobile Gwala alleged that a man and woman were seated in their stationary vehicle when a suspect fired shots at them. They sustained injuries to the body and were taken to hospital.
Gwala said two counts of attempted murder were being investigated by police.
It is alleged five shots were fired by a man known to them.
Investigations are continuing.
