Soweto -
A Soweto man and his wife were found dead in their home on Monday, police said.
“The man allegedly killed his wife with an unknown object by hitting her on the back of the head,” Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said.
“After he realised that she had passed away, then he took a rope and hung himself next to her.”
Makhubela said the couple was discovered by their eight-year-old grand-daughter when she returned to their Protea South home after school around 3pm.
The couple had a history of domestic violence, and the woman had previously obtained a protection order against her husband. - Sapa
