Cape Town - A 25-year-old man was shot and killed in front of his four traumatised children.

According to eyewitnesses MacOwen Geswindt, 25, was attacked after his car had stuck without petrol close to his house in Athena Street, Eureka Estate in Ravensmead, on Friday evening.

It’s believed he was walking back to his car after getting some fuel when he was attacked by gangsters.

“He ran into his girlfriend’s house and was shot about seven times in the living room. His four young children were also present,” a witness said.

Police spokeswoman Noloyiso Rwexana confirms the shooting and says another person, a 28-year-old man, was shot and wounded in the same incident.

“According to the reports, police attended to the complaint at the address mentioned, and upon arrival they found the body of a 25-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds in one of the rooms. Another unidentified victim was shot and wounded in his right foot,” Rwexana says.

“Cases of murder and attempted murder are under investigation. No one has been arrested as yet.”
