Johannesburg - A death threat delayed the trial of four soldiers accused of killing former Johannesburg cluster commander Maj-Gen Tirhani Maswanganyi, the SABC reported on Thursday.
Proceedings in the Pretoria North Magistrate's Court reportedly could not go ahead because of a death threat against investigating officer Abednego Shiburi, who was giving testimony.
According to the SABC, police were evaluating the threat.
Ndaedzo Isaac Vele, Nditsheni Daniel Nefolovhodwe, Tshepo Mosai and Roger Godfrey Moseki are accused of murdering Maswanganyi.
His body was found in a field near Hammanskraal, north of Pretoria, with his hands and feet bound on June 17.
