Johannesburg - British businessman Shrien Dewani's trial, for the murder of his wife Anni, will resume in the Western Cape High Court on Tuesday with the State expected to call a new witness.
The trial was postponed on Monday after hearing evidence from two State witnesses.
Dewani's lawyer, Francois van Zyl, continued with the cross-examination of one of Anni's convicted killers, Mziwamadoda Qwabe, on Monday, and accused him of being the man who pulled the trigger on November 13, 2010.
Van Zyl said all the evidence pointed to him pulling the trigger and not his accomplice Xolile Mngeni, who is serving life in jail.
The State then called its third witness, Simon Johnson, 33, the former digital product manager of the Gaydar website, to testify on Dewani's profile, “ASIANSUBGUY”.
The prosecution went through a table of logins and logoffs for the profile in question, with Johnson confirming Dewani had visited the site on November 12, November 15 and November 16 in 2010.
The profile was deactivated on November 21, 2010.
Dewani is accused of masterminding his wife Anni's murder during their honeymoon in Cape Town in 2010.
He has pleaded not guilty to the five counts against him, maintaining that the couple were the victims of a hijacking in Gugulethu, Cape Town, on November 13, 2010. - Sapa
