Johannesburg - A radio personality who allegedly hit two brothers with his car, killing them, is out on bail of R5 000, North West police said on Tuesday.

Motsweding FM radio personality Papa Moalusi, 30, appeared in Mmabatho Magistrate's Court on Monday. The matter was postponed to June 27 for further investigations, Brigadier Thulane Ngubane said.

Moalusi faced two counts of culpable homicide, charges of reckless or negligent driving, drunken driving, and failing to stop and help at an accident, Ngubane said.

On Sunday, Moalusi was driving a silver Audi when he hit the nine-year-old boy and his brother, in his twenties, who were walking to church with their mother.

After striking the two the Audi collided with another car, hit a rock, and came to a halt.

Moalusi allegedly ran away, leaving his female passenger behind, said Ngubane.

Police went to his house and place of work. He handed himself over to police later that morning. - Sapa
