Durban - A Westville domestic worker was stabbed in the neck with a knife from the kitchen during a home invasion on Wednesday afternoon.

The worker, who was taken to hospital after her ordeal, was also led through the house, while her attacker demanded valuables, and was then locked in a bedroom.

Blue Security operations manager, Brian Jackson, said the robber had forced open a bedroom window burglar bar to gain entry into the Morewood Crescent home.

“He took a knife from the kitchen and assaulted her, stabbing her in the neck. He then took her through the house, demanding valuables, before locking her in a bedroom and fleeing with two laptops.”

Police said on Thursday night a case of attempted murder and house robbery had been opened at Westville police station, but no arrest had yet been made.
