Johannesburg - An Eastern Cape man will face an additional charge of escape when he appears in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court for alleged vehicle theft on Monday, police said.
Captain Stanley Jarvis said Rudolph “Rudi” Erasmus escaped from the Mount Road police cells last Wednesday and an alert was issued. He was found and re-arrested on Friday.
“Mount Road would like to thank the community members for the role they are playing in ensuring that the criminals face the full might of the law,” said Jarvis.
