Addo - A 24-year-old man accused of murdering a 14-year-old girl has been arrested in Addo near Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape police said on Wednesday.
The man was taken into custody on Monday, said Warrant Officer Basil Seekoei.
He allegedly killed the girl in Langbos near the canal in Addo.
Seekoei said the girl's body was found by a passer-by on Sunday in the bushes near her home.
“It is suspected that the deceased had been strangled. The motive for the killing is not known.”
The man would appear in the Kirkwood Magistrate's Court on Wednesday. - Sapa
