An elderly couple was killed when their apartment at an old age village in Bloemfontein caught fire on Friday morning, paramedics said.
When emergency services arrived at the scene the free standing apartment was engulfed in flames, ER24 spokesman Andre Visser said.
Security guards said the fire started at around 2.30am. The cause was not known yet.
