Johannesburg - The case against a man accused of murdering a woman in Eldorado Park, south of Johannesburg, was provisionally withdrawn in the Protea Magistrate's Court on Friday, Gauteng police said.

The matter against Paul Mutsi, 21, was provisionally withdrawn because of a lack of evidence linking him to the case, Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said.

Mutsi's DNA results would be awaited before a decision was made whether to proceed with the case or not.

The body of Christell Pienaar, 30, a mother of five children, was found last Wednesday. She had been stabbed in her upper body.

A passer-by found her body on an overgrown cricket pitch at the Silver Oaks School in Eldorado Park extension four.
