Three men wanted in connection with the rape of a woman have been arrested.

Eleven Free State men were arrested on Friday for allegedly killing two men, police said.

Sergeant Puleng Motshoeneng said they were linked to the deaths of two men, whose bodies were found in January and April.

The first victim, a 31-year-old man, was found with 24 stab wounds next to Bellas Bar at Manny's shopping complex in Welkom on January 27. In April, a 25-year-old man was found dead with two stab wounds at the same venue.

Motshoeneng said those arrested were members of a township gang, known as RAF3. Residents tipped police off about the men's whereabouts. - Sapa
