Escaped prisoner re-arrested

Eastern Cape - A prisoner who escaped from the Graaff Reinet prison has been re-arrested, Eastern Cape police said on Saturday.

“He was brought back to the police station yesterday (Friday) and will appear in court on Monday,” said Captain Rino Kilian.

The 50-year-old prisoner, James Memani, escaped on Tuesday. He faced at least 19 charges including theft, housebreaking, and possession of stolen property. - Sapa
