Johannesburg - A State witness is expected to testify in the Western Cape High Court on Tuesday in the embezzlement trial of former Fidentia boss J Arthur Brown.

On Monday, Judge Anton Veldhuizen heard that the witness had fallen ill and had yet to arrive in Cape Town. The trial was then postponed until Tuesday.

Brown has pleaded not guilty to fraud, corruption and money-laundering charges.

He has denied running a pyramid scheme and using investors' funds for personal gain. - Sapa
