Durban - Five people accused of killing an IFP supporter appeared in the Durban Regional Court on Monday.

The matter was postponed to March 28 for further investigation, National Prosecuting Authority spokeswoman Natasha Ramkisson said.

Mgezeni “Bhungu” Gwala, his son Mjabulelwa, Malusi Sibusiso Ncengwa, Skhumbuzo Nxumalo and Bonginhlanhla Gwala are charged with killing Inkatha Freedom Party supporter Cebisile Shezi.

She was shot dead outside the Thembalihle railway station, in KwaMashu, on October 6 last year, shortly after Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa addressed IFP supporters at a sports field in A-section, KwaMashu.

Bhungu Gwala, Bonginhlanhla Gwala, and Ncengwa are out on bail. - Sapa
