Rustenburg – Four people were arrested in Bodibe outside Lichtenburg for allegedly stealing cattle worth R72 000 on Wednesday, North West police said.

Police spokesperson Colonel Sabata Mokgwabone said: “The arrest of the suspects, aged between 15 and 31, came after police received a tip-off from community members about people who were seen in possession of the cows. Police and Community Police Forum members swiftly responded, conducted a search and found the suspects in possession of six cattle worth R72 000,00 in Bodibe village near Itsoseng.

“Further investigation revealed that the cattle were stolen in Lichtenburg where a case of stock theft was opened.”
