Alexandra, Johannesburg - Four men were arrested in Alexandra after being found in possession of guns and linked to robberies and car thefts, Johannesburg metro police said.
A patrol in the area was tipped off about the men being at a house in Africa Street, Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said.
Officers went to the house and found one man in possession of a revolver and a rifle, and 38 rounds of ammunition. A second man, found in possession of eight cellphones, was linked to a Honeydew house robbery and the theft of a white VW Polo.
The other two were connected to the theft of a black Volvo in Ivory Park, and the hijacking of a Hyundai from the driveway of a house in Randburg.
They would appear in various courts soon. - Sapa
