Stutterheim - Four men were arrested for allegedly stealing sheep on Qwanti Forest farm, near Stutterheim in the Eastern Cape, police said on Friday.
Lieutenant Siphokazi Mawisa said a farmer reported that 47 of his sheep were stolen on Wednesday.
Two men, aged 18 and 35, from Toise in Stutterheim, were arrested on Thursday. The men took police to a nearby forest where they had made a kraal to keep the sheep.
Eleven sheep were recovered. Another 19 were found at Macleantown.
On Friday, two more men, aged 20 and 26, were arrested in Mlungisi township. All four were expected to appear in the Stutterheim Magistrate's Court on Monday.
