Four people accused of murdering a rape suspect have appeared in Maluti Magistrate's Court, Eastern Cape police said on Thursday.
The trial of the three woman and a man was postponed on Wednesday to December 18, said Lieutenant Raphael Motloung.
“They were linked to an incident where a group of community members attacked a man whom they accused of raping a 20-year-old woman from the same village,” said Motloung.
It is alleged that the man was necklaced with a vehicle tyre before being set alight two weekends ago.
The four were arrested at their homes at Mveyana A/A in Cedarville on Monday.
