Durban - An alleged accomplice to the three men accused of murdering Morningside accountant Hoosen Dhoda was arrested on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Thulani Zwane said the man was found in Nodwengeni in Applesbosch where he was hiding.

The first three suspects, metro policeman Sandile Patrick Dlamini, 27, and his two co-accused, Sipho Golden Mbele, 32, and Bonokwakhe Magubane, 22, appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Monday. They were arrested in Umlazi on Friday.

The matter was adjourned until next week.

According to a police source, the metro officer is linked to the dog unit.

Dhoda was shot dead at a travel agency in Problem Mkhize (Cowey) Road in Morningside on Monday.

Witnesses said a staff member on an upper floor spotted three well-dressed men entering their workplace, one of whom was carrying a gun.

She started to scream and as Dhoda entered the office, it is believed he tried to disarm one of the attackers and was shot dead during the scuffle.
