Pretoria - The High Court in Pretoria on Thursday postponed ruling on whether a order forcing squatters off a farm in Bultfontein should be made permanent, Afrikaans lobby group AfriForum said.

The matter was postponed to March 10, provincial co-ordinator in northern Gauteng Tarien Cooks said in a statement.

“The illegal squatters and EFF supporters in December erected unlawful structures on the farm Bultfontein, north of Pretoria.

“A court order was subsequently obtained after which the structures were removed by the Red Ants. The order would have been made permanent today,” she said.

The Economic Freedom Fighters wanted the interim court order set aside. The party could not be reached for comment on Thursday.
