A 14-year-old Limpopo girl was arrested on Wednesday afternoon for allegedly killing her 17-year-old boyfriend in Makanye Section, Ga-Mothapo, police said.

Constable Moses Molepo said police acting on a tip-off found her hiding at a local church.

The girl fatally stabbed Andries Kubayi, a Grade 10 pupil at a local school, in the chest with a knife during a quarrel on Tuesday. She then fled, Molepo said.

He said she was in custody and would appear in the Mankweng Magistrate's Court on Thursday on a charge of murder. – Sapa
