Johannesburg - A 16-year-old girl was killed when she was stabbed several times in Dobsonville, Soweto, on Sunday, Gauteng police said.
“The teenager was walking with her mother and two men on Sunday morning when a scuffle between them ensued. One of the men took out a knife and stabbed the three, the girl was stabbed several times and died on the scene,” said spokesman Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela.
The teenager's mother and the other man were taken to hospital for treatment after they suffered stab wounds.
The alleged killer fled the scene.
