Goods with a street value of more than R120 000 were seized by the Hawks in a raid at the Baragwanath taxi rank, Soweto, on Thursday, police said.
Fake-brand clothing and 946 pirated DVDs were confiscated, said Lieutenant-Colonel Lungelo Dlamini.
The raid was part of “Safer Festive Season”, an operation launched by police to remove fake-brand and stolen goods sold by street vendors.
“These raids will be continuing throughout the province,” said Dlamini. – Sapa
