The search continued on Friday to find those responsible for the deaths of three children in Naboomspruit, Limpopo police said.

“Police have been working very hard to solve this case. We have key information which is being followed up,” Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said.

Brothers Bafana Kekana, nine, and Hosea Richard Kekana, 10, and their cousin Johana Kekana, 12, were found dead in Naboomspruit two weeks ago.

They had been stoned to death, and their hands and feet bound with shoelaces. The girl was raped before she was killed.

They were last seen on August 15 during a march to demand more teachers at their school, Dikobo Primary. Their bodies were found three days later. The lived at the Montadi Youth Care Centre.

They were buried on Saturday. - Sapa
