Limpopo - An investigation into the deaths of three children in Naboomspruit was continuing, Limpopo police said on Monday.

“We are still busy investigating this case and police are working very hard to find the perpetrators and put them behind bars,” said Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi.

He said he could not release any further information.

Brothers Bafana Kekana, nine, and Hosea Richard Kekana, 10, and their cousin Johana Kekana, 12, were found dead in Naboomspruit on August 18.

A passer-by found their bodies near the Constantia resort.

They had been stoned to death, and their hands and feet bound with shoelaces. The girl, Johana, had been raped before being killed.

They were last seen on August 15 during a march to demand more teachers at their school, Dikobo Primary. They lived at the Montadi Youth Care Centre.

The three were buried on August 18. - Sapa
