Cape Town - A torrid love triangle ended in death for one man who was gunned down, allegedly by his lover’s husband.

Eugene Valentine, 34, was shot in the head in Bonteheuwel after he was confronted by his girlfriend’s husband on Sunday morning.

It’s believed Valentine and his girlfriend were visiting friends when the alleged killer came to the same house and busted them.

Valentine, the suspect and the woman are all from Manenberg.

A police officer told the Daily Voice: “The suspect’s wife went with her boyfriend to visit people in Bonteheuwel.

“The woman’s husband also came to visit and then saw his wife there with her boyfriend victim.

“The husband left the house, and while everyone inside the house went after him he then shot Eugene in the head outside.

“It’s unclear where he got the gun.”

Constable Noloyiso Rwexana said: “A 35-year-old victim was shot in Bonteheuwel.

“A case of murder is under investigation and the suspect is yet to be arrested.”
