Eastern Cape - A recent graduate from a circumcision school was arrested for murder following the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man at Nyahwarha, near Dutywa, in the Eastern Cape on Saturday, police said.
Captain Jackson Manatha said the man was stabbed after he had asked a 19-year-old youth, who was only two weeks out of a circumcision school, why he was at a tavern and not at home.
“The 19-year-old suspect drew his knife and stabbed the 21-year-old man on his upper body. The deceased died instantly and a case of murder was opened,” said Manatha.
The 19-year-old is expected to appear in the Dutywa Magistrate's Court on Monday.
Manatha said the knife was recovered. -Sapa
