Johannesburg - Isibaya actor Andile Gumbi spent Freedom Day in jail.
Gumbi was bust and charged with assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm after he allegedly assaulted his wife and dragged her around on the floor.
According to reports, the wife allegedly locked him out of their Randburg home, after which he allegedly broke down the door, punched her and dragged her around.
The soap actor appeared in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, where he was released.
He is expected back in court later this month.
