Johannesburg - Police were searching for a man accused of murder after he allegedly skipped bail, Warrant Officer Xoli Mbele said on Monday.
Phumlani Gumede, 28, and two others were arrested on April 21 this year after 50-year-old Siphiwe James Cebekhulu was attacked on the same day with a brick and shot.
He died on the scene with the men taking his wallet and cellphone.
Cebekhulu was apparently looking for his daughter, who had gone missing, when attacked by the men.
While the two other men were convicted of murder on Friday, Gumede allegedly skipped his R5 000 bail.
Police believed he was either in Gauteng, or Empangeni in KwaZulu-Natal. - Sapa
