Johannesburg - Musician Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye is expected to apply for bail at the Protea Magistrate's Court on Friday.
He would be asking the court to grant him bail, pending the appeal against his murder conviction and sentence.
The petition to appeal was filed in the Johannesburg High Court in March.
Maarohanye and Themba Tshabalala were each sentenced to 20 years in prison for murder and four years for attempted murder.
For using drugs, driving under the influence of drugs and racing on a public road, they got a year each, for each count.
They were sentenced on December 5, 2012. - Sapa
