Kimberley - Northern Cape Judge President Frans Kgomo on Tuesday dismissed an application by the minor accused in the Griquatown farm murders trial to reopen his case.

The 17-year-old boy's new lawyer Riaan Bode filed an application for the case to be reopened to, among others, submit further expert evidence.

The State opposed the application.

Kgomo said he was satisfied that the youth did not make out a proper case for reopening his case. Therefore, the application was refused.

He would give reasons for the decision later. Kgomo postponed the case to Tuesday March 25.
