Judiciary vacancies need to be filled

Johannesburg - Eleven vacancies in the judiciary need to be filled, the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) said on Tuesday.

There were two vacancies within the Supreme Court of Appeal, and two within the Competition Appeal Court, the JSC said in a statement. One of the vacancies was for a Judge President of the Competition Appeal Court.

There was a vacancy for a Deputy Judge President in the High Court in Johannesburg and Pretoria, and four vacancies for judges.

There was also one vacancy in the Eastern Cape High Court in Bhisho and one in the Electoral Court.

Candidates for the Electoral Court vacancy had to be advocates and attorneys.

The JSC said nominations for vacancies had to be submitted by February 1. - Sapa
