Johannesburg - The Palm Ridge Regional Court on Wednesday turned down an application by Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir and three co-accused to access an apparent confession.
Magistrate Reginald Dama said disclosing to the defence a confession made by co-accused Desai Luphondo to the police would be prejudicial to the State.
Louis Mashiane, for the State, opposed the application.
Krejcir, Luphondo and two members of specialist police unit the Hawks - Samuel Modise Maropeng and George Jeff Nthoroane - have applied for bail.
They face charges of kidnapping, assault and attempted murder.
The charges relate to an alleged kidnapping and assault of an East Rand man, who is a complainant in the case.
The man was allegedly kidnapped and assaulted over four days by the accused in June.
His brother, named Doctor, who worked at OR Tambo International Airport, had apparently disappeared after Luphondo allegedly handed him 24kg of tik to ship to Australia.
The State alleges that Luphondo was Krejcir's drug pusher.
The consignment never reached its destination, and the brother was allegedly kidnapped as Doctor could not be found. - Sapa
