Johannesburg -

The man accused of involvement in a plot to kill Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir is scheduled to appear in the Germiston Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

In August, Brendan Harrison was denied bail after investigators claimed his life would be at risk if he was not kept in custody.

In October, his representative Jack Gerber asked that evidence against him be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) so that an informed decision could be made.

“The defence is of the opinion that the DPP should make a decision on the merits of the allegations,” Gerber told the court.

He said the defence had found discrepancies in the evidence against Harrison, but he would not elaborate.

Harrison said he met Krejcir in 2009.

He was reportedly given a job in 2011 by Michael Arsiotis, a former associate of Krejcir. - Sapa
