Durban - Police in Port Shepstone have made two huge hauls of dagga valued at more than R4 million over the past two days.
On Monday afternoon three members from Port Shepstone Public Order Police were tipped off and went to the Ematsheni area near Upper Tugela. Residents fled, leaving behind 28 bags of dagga, weighing 800kg, destined for Gauteng said spokesman Captain Thulani Zwane.
This morning the Port Shepstone Crime Intelligence Section and protection services intercepted a vehicle in Umtentweni with 18 bags of dagga.
It was coming from Stanger, north of Durban, to be delivered in Murchison. Two men and two women (in their 40s) were arrested, Zwane said.
